More than 300 delegates from 23 countries will attend Global Grain Sochi, a forum devoted to the prospects of grain market development and agricultural sector support. Among the participants of the event, which will take place on June 26-28, are the Ministers of Agriculture of Russia and the European Union countries, heads of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), producers and consumers of agricultural products as well as representatives of different financial, insurance, logistics, and trading companies.
At six section meetings the delegates will propose measures to improve competitiveness of suppliers of grain and other farm products. Besides, such problems as government support and innovative approaches to the development of the grain market will be put on the agenda. The organizers suggest holding not just an open dialogue among the event participants and training seminars, but also business negotiations. Moreover, the attendees will have an opportunity to sign investment contracts.
