Donald Trump is trying to threaten the Congress with the stock market crash if he is impeached. The President has no doubt that the shares of American companies will plummet in this case. He called charges pressed against him by the Democrats “the witch hunt”. Moreover, Trump has not done talking and attacked particular representatives of the Democrats as well as the party itself on his Twitter. Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Adam Shiff got the worst of it. “Liddle' Adam Schiff, who has worked unsuccessfully for 3 years to hurt the Republican Party and President,” wrote Trump in a tweet expanding it further with a comment about the Whistleblower’s complaint. Here, the American leader did not mince his words, noting that the Whistleblower “had second hand information” which was one more example of “fake” news and another “witch hunt.” In conclusion, Trump warned about the negative impact of his impeachment on the entire US financial system: “If they actually did this the markets would crash.” It is not the first time the US President makes statements like that. In late August last year, Trump threatened the public with stock market meltdown on Fox News, saying: “If I ever got impeached, I think the market would crash.”
