The World Bank released an annual report containing countries with the most attractive business environment. Doing Business is a special rating list, reflecting how friendly business conditions are in a certain country. Singapore has been on top for the eighth year in a row. The international experts constantly name it the best country to run a business. This year, Russia has reached success too. It climbed up by 20 positions from place 112 to 92 comparing with the previous report. Such countries as Russia, Rwanda, and Ukraine made the greatest progress in simplifying the property registering procedure, some tax-related measures, and the availability of electricity networks. The Doing Business list is also based on the criteria such as how easy it is to start a business or get a credit, paying taxes, trans-border trade, registering property, dealing with construction permits, closing a business, enforcing contracts, and protecting investors. Hong Kong, New Zealand, the U.S., Denmark, Malaysia, Korea, Georgia, Norway, and Great Britain were ranked in top 10. Chad is the worst place for entrepreneurs. Let us remind that in May, Russian President Vladimir Putin set a task to the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to lead Russia to the 20th place from the 120th in the Doing Business list by 2018. Other BRICS nations have similar with the Russian Federation ratings: China is on the 96th, Brazil is on the 116th place, India is number 134. Only South Africa outran Russia and took the 41st position.
