Gazprom was announced Russia’s most valuable brand. It took the first line on the list of the 40 most valuable Russian brands in 2013. Interbrand Moscow estimated Gazprom at 1.262 trillion rubles. It is followed by mobile operators MTS valued at 192.1 billion rubles, Beeline and Megafon worth 155.5 billion and 114.15 billion correspondingly. The top five also includes 111.56 billion MMC Norilsk Nickel. Sberbank entered the top ten with its 106.7 billion rubles value, along with TNK-BP (98.9 billion), Lukoil (75 billion), and brewing company Baltika (56.2 billion). Estimated at 25.9 billion rubles, famous Russian brand Aeroflot debuted in the rating.
This year, the list of the worthiest brands was made of companies representing 13 economic sectors. Most of them are well-established and familiar to the end user. Quite expectedly, the rating also comprised media corporations: STS (15.4 billion), RBK (10.6 billion), Channel One (6.4 billion), Mail.ru (3.7 billion), and NTV (3.4 billion). Interestingly, this year’s rating welcomed B2B (business to business) companies, whereas it used to be dominated by B2C (business to consumers) firms. All the ranked companies make substantial contributions to the GDP, moreover, it would have been particularly hard to eliminate the crisis aftermath without them. The experts foretell them profitable future.
