Croatia government is going to be disciplined due to the budget violations. The European Commission found out the country’s 2014 budget plan breaks the EU rules. Besides, the ones of France, Denmark, and Spain are barely in line with the laws of the European Union. The Commission will also take disciplinary steps towards Poland as the country does not do enough to cut its budget deficit. For example, the policy makers are intending to set a deadline by which the Polish government must bring this amount to the EU ceiling of 3% of GDP. The report also says that Italy’s and Finland’s drafts hardly comply with the framework as well. So, the Commission granted additional time to the above-mentioned EU nations plus Netherlands and Slovenia to adjust their budget readings. Such a decision was upheld after the first check, when the executives made their practical recommendations to the budget offenders. It is worthy of note that all these EU requirements are not obligatory. Most of them concern reforms to the labor and services markets as well as public spending cut. These measures are aimed to reduce the unemployment and attract more investments to the European Union.
