The stunning rally of bitcoin has created the ground for new ambitious predictions about the number one cryptocurrency. This time, Kraken CEO Jesse Powell projected bitcoin to hit $1 million and gain the title of the world’s leading currency. "Bitcoin is going to infinity, the moon, Mars and eventually it'll be the world's currency," the head of the crypto exchange said. Jesse Powell is known for his accurate forecasts regarding the crypto market. Last summer, he predicted that in two years the most popular cryptocurrency would soar to $100,000 per token. Obviously, this prediction is gradually coming true. In early January 2021, BTC closely approached the level of $42,000 per coin. By January 20, it jumped to $57,000. With this in mind, the level of $100,000 does not seem so unreal. Such high volatility of bitcoin raises concerns among experts. Thus, Microsoft founder Bill Gates warned, “If you have less money than Elon [Musk], you should probably watch out.” The billionaire added, “Elon has tons of money and he is very sophisticated.” Bill Gates explained that he was more worried about ordinary people who did not have as much money to spare as Tesla’s CEO. Nouriel Roubini, a renowned American economist who predicted the global recession of 2008-2009, holds the same view. He is sure that bitcoin will soon collapse.
