As the stars tell, the new 2014 is considered the year of the blue wooden horse. But analysts predict that it might be the year of the national Asian currencies. The most of analysts involved in polls believe that drastic changes are going to take place among the leaders of the most popular currencies in the world. So, experts of the international currency market carried out a detailed research and made a firm conclusion that the Taiwan dollar, the Indonesian rupiah, the South Korean won, and certainly the Chinese yuan are going to gain their value steadily in the current year. On average, these currencies are expected to appreciate starting from 1.5% and higher. Obviously, the results of the currency trends in 2013 cannot be disregarded as well. The elapsed year has been one of the hardest for the recent decade speaking about the countries of the Asian Pacific region. The composite index of the Asian currencies showed a tangible drop and lost over 2% of its value. Such a slump was mainly caused by the first rumors about the Fed’s decision to cancel the quantitative easing program. Thus, foreign investors and top-ranked funds set about disposing of assets available in currencies of developing Asian countries. As a result, only the Indonesian rupiah suffered from such raw data leading to its collapse by 20%. However, the state of affairs is expected to reverse crucially. In the meantime, Deutsche Bank defined the Asian countries as a new driving force in the global economy ready to deal with powerful investors who are already aware of the development outlook. Experts forecast that after the New Year’s vacations investors are going to take advantage of opening a great number of long-term deals on the emerging Asian markets.
