Here comes the good news inspiring the globe with a hope for a better economic year. While the rest of the world is reviving its spirits after the holidays, Greece found another reason to celebrate. Recently, at the meeting with Head of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso Greece’s prime minister reported that the country overcame the crisis. “Greece, after great sacrifices, is leaving the crisis behind it,” Antonis Samaras announced ahead of the official opening ceremony. Greece has moved into the six-month European presidency. According to Samaras, the country is determined to resume growth and hamper unemployment. Besides, the government is going to deal with the immigration problems and improve internal and external security. Barroso, in his turn, highlighted that there is no ground for talks that Greece is going to get out of the EU. To date, Greece has still been one of its members. In addition, the president said that Greece is an “experienced pilot” as it is the fifth time the country rotates the European Union’s presidency. Moreover, the politicians hope that voters will support the stability, so during the European Parliament elections they are supposed to choose whether or not Europe should exist. The PM stressed that the voters will make the final decision thinking of their families and children. Barroso acknowledged that the political instability affects the voters greatly, but he hopes that most of them will pick for the United Europe.
