EU scared of German export

Germany should stimulate the domestic consumption. This was said in the review by European Commission published on March 5.
It states that imbalance between export and import is so big in Germany that it requires close monitoring and correction. Brussels recommended Berlin that it encourages the consumption within the country to give opportunities for the GDP growth.
According to Agence France-Presse, the European Commission’s economics chief Olli Rehn said on March 5 that Germany would only benefit from the increase of government spending. Supporting the domestic consumption, the country will also favor other European economies, Rehn said. He added that no one was going to criticize the country for its strong economy and high-volume export.
On the other side, the USA blamed Germany’s economic policy for the deflation risks in the euro zone and worldwide. These conclusions were published in the report of the US Treasury, which is released twice a year.
