Elon Musk has recently become the world’s richest person. In fact, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO shows no signs of letting up. He is now determined to turn from a billionaire into a trillionaire.
Musk has been the richest person in the world since November 2021. His net worth was estimated at $309.7 billion on November 1 when it surged by 5.8%, or $17.1 billion, in a day. So, he now sits above the world's second and third-richest persons — Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Chief Executive of luxury goods firm LVMH Bernard Arnault, worth $193.1 billion and $190,8 billion respectively. There is a significant gap between Musk’s and their fortunes. In October 2021, Musk became the wealthiest person in history, when his net worth hit $270 billion. At the same time, Tesla’s market capitalization exceeded $1 trillion. So, Elon Musk may well turn into a trillionaire soon.
According to Morgan Stanley, the Tesla and SpaceX founder has every chance to go down in history as the world’s first trillionaire. Meanwhile, SpaceX is expected to become the most valuable private company in the future. Musk has no less than a 17% stake in the aerospace company. Therefore, his fortune could hit $1 trillion with time. In October, SpaceX’s market capitalization soared above $100 billion. At the same time, Morgan Stanley analysts suggest that SpaceX is worth $200 billion and say that the most expensive project within the company is the Starlink satellite-internet system.
