The creator of Dogecoin continues to surprise market participants. The meme asset is among the largest cryptocurrencies in terms of the market cap. Although the coin was created as a joke, it has won widespread popularity.
Not so long ago, Shibetoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Dogecoin, proved the meme nature of the coin announcing changes in his company’s management. Thus, Elon Musk’s puppy became Dogecoin’s pseudo-president. “The new fictional chairman of the board is none other than Elon Musk. I think he knows some money, leadership, and memes. Elon Musk’s adorable puppy will be named fictional president,” Nakamoto wrote. After that, the meme currency showed an immediate jump.
The digital coin features a dog of the same breed as Elon Musk’s puppy, Shiba Inu. In October, the billionaire talked about his investments in cryptocurrencies, announcing that there was BTC, ETH, and DOGE in his portfolio. Elon Musk says he supports the meme currency because he feels it is “the people’s crypto” and most of his colleagues invest in it.
