Apple CEO Tim Cook has recently voiced his opinion on cryptocurrencies, saying that he is interested in digital assets from a "personal point of view".
Mr. Cook also stressed that before he started investing, he had been interested in cryptocurrency "for a while". He had also been studying the topic carefully. "I think it’s reasonable to own it as part of a diversified portfolio," Cook pointed out. However, market participants were keen to find out more about the corporation's plans on crypto. To this end, Cook dismissed suggestions that Apple was going to accept cryptocurrency in exchange for products and services as tender. He also said that Apple did not buy cryptocurrency with corporate funds as an investment.
"I wouldn’t go invest in crypto, not because I wouldn’t invest my own money, but because I don’t think people buy Apple stock to get exposure to crypto," he pinpointed.
However, Cook added that Apple has been studying crypto technology for some time. Yet, the company does not plan to implement it in the near future. “It’s not something we have immediate plans to do." "I’m not giving anyone investment advice by the way," he joked.
