The agreement is aimed at developing clean energy production in the Kingdom. The Saudi Aramco officials have inked five agreements with leading French companies, including a deal with Gaussin to explore the manufacturing of hydrogen-powered vehicles in the region. Some of the memorandums signed with the French-based companies include finding solutions to reduce carbon emissions and exploring business opportunities for hydrogen-powered cars in Saudi Arabia. Collaboration with Gaussin, a pioneer in clean and intelligent transport solutions, is viewed as an opportunity to promote a sustainable approach to energy use in the Kingdom, the oil giant stresses. According to Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Hassan Nasser, cooperation with the French corporate sector has always been strong in various fields, including chemicals and research and innovations in the petrochemical industry. The head of Saudi Aramco mentioned the SATORP refinery as a good example of such effective cooperation. The company’s CEO is sure that joint projects with French counterparts have bright prospects ahead.
