President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said that the conflict between the US, the EU, and Russia may trigger a global collapse. The President noted that he hoped for a peaceful resolution of the current geopolitical crisis. However, escalation of the situation threatens countries in every way. Currently, Serbia is accumulating resources to alleviate the consequences of the upcoming crisis. Vucic is concerned that the global crisis may severely affect the Serbian economy. In particular, imposed sanctions are likely to hit the energy sector of the country. In January, Serbia had its gas storage filled. The Banatski Dvor natural gas storage facility received most of the natural gas volume estimated at 110 million cubic meters. Many experts note that Serbian gas reserves are not enough to cover the country's needs in the long term. As for the oil reserves, the president also raised worries. According to Vucic, the current oil reserves are only enough for a month. The Serbian government bought basic food products, such as salt, butter, flour, beans, peas, wheat, and corn. Vucic pledged that Serbs will not suffer from hunger. He also believes that the conflict will be settled in a peaceful way but urges to make emergency stockpiles of food and energy due to the unforeseen consequences of the crisis. The president of Serbia fears a world collapse. However, the country is prepared for its outcomes.
