The forward for club Paris Saint-Germain has signed an agreement worth more than $20 million to promote digital fan token company Socios.com, Reuters reported. The football player will now become the brand ambassador and promote the firm on the Internet.
MacroStrategy, a subsidiary of MicroStrategy, has taken out a $205 million bitcoin-backed loan from a unit of Silvergate Bank. This loan will allow the company to buy more bitcoin. “The SEN leverage loan gives us an opportunity to further our position as the leading public company investor in bitcoin,” MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor said.

The US Treasury Department again calls for stricter cryptocurrency regulation. US taxpayers holding foreign financial assets with an aggregate value exceeding $50,000 will now report information about those assets to the IRS. The document published on the website of the agency may come into force in 2023. Should the regulation be enforced, virtual currency holders will have to comply with US tax requirements.
