The United Kingdom’s economic woes will persist into 2023, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said in a Christmas statement.
Sunak put the blame for the crisis on the conflict in Ukraine and pledged that the UK government will keep providing support for Ukraine despite the economic downturn.
The Prime Minister also promised subsidies for “the most vulnerable” to help them cope with the cost-of-living crisis.
Earlier, soaring inflation and high rent costs in the UK forced some Ukrainian refugees to return to their homeland.
