For some strange reason, China continues to pretend that politics and economics are two entirely different things that rarely contradict each other. However, in the modern economy, "the money is everything" philosophy does not work anymore. Sometimes, countries are ready to sacrifice their economic benefits for the sake of political advantages. Notably, Beijing has experienced pressure from various economic sanctions for political reasons. Some of them turned out to be rather efficient. This is the main reason why the Chinese authorities are calling on countries not to mix the economy and politics.
China’s government once again urged countries to stop the erroneous practice to use the global economy as a political weapon. The official statement was published on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China’s website.
It is necessary to ensure the stability of production and supply chains. Therefore, all countries should properly protect the existing global economic system, the officials stressed.
