According to the Financial Times citing sources familiar with the matter, Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk is planning to found his own artificial intelligence start-up. The new AI company is expected to compete with OpenAI and its creation, ChatGPT. The entrepreneur is reportedly on the hunt for a team of AI engineers and researchers. He is also negotiating funding from SpaceX and Tesla investors to launch the start-up. Musk has already purchased thousands of high-powered GPU processors from Nvidia needed to build a large language model. This AI system will be capable of processing enormous amounts of data and generating text content and images. For your reference, the Tesla and Twitter chief lost nearly $40 billion in 2022 and is no longer the richest person in the world. According to Forbes, Bernard Arnault now tops the list of billionaires. The CEO of French luxury giant LVMH, which includes such brands as Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Moët & Chandon, owns a fortune of $211 billion (up from $158 billion in 2022).
