US introduces new anti-Russian sanctions

Many experts agree that the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the US have backfired, often failing to achieve the effects anticipated by Western countries and the US. However, President Joe Biden has recently confirmed that Washington will introduce sanctions against more than 500 private individuals and legal entities in Russia. According to the American leader, the state plans to impose over 500 new restrictions against Russia in response to the death of Alexey Navalny and the situation in Ukraine. Furthermore, the White House is launching new export tariffs against nearly 100 enterprises for covertly supporting the "Russian military machine," as emphasized by Joe Biden. The anti-Russian sanctions will target the financial sector, the defense industry, and networks involved in procurement. Previously, the EU Council approved the 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions, which will take effect after its official publication. Experts believe it will impact Russia's military-industrial complex and restrict the country's access to components for drones.
