The University of Michigan's preliminary consumer sentiment index for May has been released at 10 am ET Friday. The greenback changed little against its major counterparts after the data.
The greenback was trading at 129.24 against the yen, 1.0370 against the euro, 1.2180 against the pound and 1.0032 against the franc around 10:03 am ET.
