Canada retail sales for December and CPI for January have been released at 8:30 am ET Tuesday. After these data, the loonie retreated against its major counterparts.
The loonie was worth 0.9269 against the aussie, 1.3481 against the greenback, 99.98 against the yen and 1.4383 against the euro around 8:35 am ET.
