At 2:00 am ET Friday, Destatis issued Germany's foreign trade data for January.
After the data, the euro changed little against its major rivals.
The euro was worth 0.8867 against the pound, 0.9978 against the Swiss franc, 1.0618 against the U.S. dollar and 144.91 against the yen at 2:05 am ET.
