At 5:00 am ET Friday, Eurozone flash PMI survey results are due. Economists expect the composite PMI to drop marginally to 51.9 in March from 52.0 in February.
Ahead of the data, the euro fell against its major rivals.
The euro was worth 1.0774 against the greenback, 140.22 against the yen, 0.9895 against the franc and 0.8803 against the pound as of 4:55 am ET.
