The U.S. dollar weakened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Tuesday.
The U.S. dollar fell to nearly a 1-1/2 month low of 0.8900 against the Swiss franc, nearly a 5-week low of 1.0688 against the euro and nearly a 2-week low of 1.2275 against the pound, from yesterday's closing quotes of 0.8908, 1.0668 and 1.2248, respectively.
Against the yen, the greenback dropped to a 6-day low of 149.49 from Monday's closing value of 149.70.
If the greenback extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support 0.87 around the franc, 1.08 against the euro, 1.24 against the pound and 147.00 against the yen.
