Mexico's unemployment rate held steady in November after falling in the previous three months, data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, or INEGI, showed on Thursday.
On an unadjusted basis, the jobless rate came in at 2.7 percent in November, unchanged from October. Meanwhile, the rate was expected to fall to 2.6 percent.
In the corresponding month last year, the jobless rate was 2.8 percent.
There were 1.62 million unemployed people in November, down from 1.67 million in the previous month.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the jobless rate edged up to 2.8 percent from 2.7 percent.
