Salesforce, Inc., a cloud-based software company, is reportedly planning to lay off approximately 700 employees according to a source as told to The Wall Street Journal. This workforce reduction constitutes around 1% of the global total. However, there are still 1,000 job positions open across the company.
Previously, Salesforce had made a 10% reduction in its workforce during the past year, alongside closing some offices to boost profit margins. Subsequently, the company stated in September that it plans to hire over 3,000 people.
Moreover, Google announced in early January that it has made the decision to dismiss 12,000 employees.
