Royal Caribbean, a renowned cruise line company, has taken over as the official jersey sponsor for Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami team in the Major League Soccer. The company's logo will be prominently featured on every Inter Miami jersey starting from the 2024 season, replacing cryptocurrency investment firm XBTO as the club's primary sponsor.
The announcement of this sponsorship was marked by the full display of the club's away kit, La Noche, adorned with the Royal Caribbean's iconic crown and anchor logo. This took place during a revelry, marking the launch of the new highly-awaited cruise vacation, Icon of the Seas.
Highlighting the shared values of the two entities, Jason Liberty, President and CEO of the Royal Caribbean Group, said, "Both Royal Caribbean Group and Inter Miami share the values of dreaming and determination - and the highs of the unbelievable moments when those dreams come true. It's exciting to now combine forces, and I can't wait for the future that our two organizations will forge for our industries, for our fans around the world, and of course, for our local communities here in South Florida."
Xavier Asensi, Chief Business Officer for Inter Miami CF, expressed eagerness at this partnership. He mentioned, "Today marks a significant moment in an authentic partnership between two South Florida-based powerhouses, both deeply committed to the community we proudly call home."
Notably, the Florida-based Royal Caribbean, one of the global leaders among cruise line operators, did not disclose the financial aspects of the sponsorship deal. Additionally, Lionel Messi played a significant role in launching Royal Caribbean International's gigantic ship, "Icon of the Seas", recently.
