Comcast Corporation announced their financial results for the fourth quarter last Thursday, revealing an interesting development - they had augmented their dividend by $0.08, thereby marking a 6.9% annual upsurge. This puts the dividend to $1.24 per share for the year 2024, calculated on an annualized basis.
In conjunction with the dividend announcement, the Board of Directors for Comcast also declared the quarter's cash dividend of $0.31 per share on the company's common stock. Payable on April 24, 2024, this dividend will be given to all shareholders who are on record as of the closing of business on April 3, 2024.
The board did not stop at that. They also approved a new share repurchase program, set to take effect from January 26, 2024. This program is worth an impressive $15 billion and notably, does not carry an expiration date.
