The company reported a loss of $23 million in the fourth quarter, compared to a loss of $634 million in the same period the previous year. The earnings per share (EPS) also reflected this loss, showing -$0.04 in Q4 as against -$1.06 in the same period last year. However, after factoring out certain items, The Boeing Company posted an adjusted earnings of $90 million, or -$0.47 per share for this period.
Despite analysts' projection of -$0.72 per share, the overall revenue of The Boeing Company showed a positive trend. $22.02 billion was reported in the fourth quarter as opposed to $19.98 billion in the same period last year.
