Deckers Brands has announced that its President and CEO, Dave Powers, plans to retire on August 1, 2024. Nevertheless, he is expected to remain a member of the company's Board of Directors until the 2025 Annual Stockholders Meeting.
Upon Powers' retirement, Stefano Caroti, the company's current Chief Commercial Officer, will assume the role of President and CEO. Deckers also anticipates nominating Caroti to join the Board at the 2024 Stockholders Meeting.
Caroti brings over three decades of industry expertise to the role, with a background spanning general management, sales, retail, product, marketing, business strategy, and brand management. He was appointed as Chief Commercial Officer for Deckers in April 2023, after almost eight years as the company's President of Omni-Channel and a stint as Acting President of HOKA. Before his time at Deckers, he held high-level roles at PUMA and NIKE Inc., including Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director at PUMA, and various Vice President roles and General Management positions for NIKE in Germany and Italy.
