In the fourth quarter, Eversource Energy's earnings drastically dropped to a loss of $1.29 billion, compared to a profit of $320.16 million in the same quarter of the previous year. The earning per share (EPS) also plunged to -$3.68 during this quarter, compared to $0.92 of the same period last year. Although analysts had projected an EPS of $0.97 per share, the company fell short.
As for the company's revenue, it experienced a decrease as well, from $3.03 billion in the fourth quarter of the previous year to $2.69 billion in the recent quarter.
