The unemployment rate in the Netherlands remained unchanged in January, continuing its trend from the previous month, according to data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Thursday. The seasonally adjusted ILO (International Labor Organization) unemployment rate for January was recorded at 3.6 percent, identical to December's figure.
The unemployment rate for the same month of the previous year was also, interestingly, registered at 3.6 percent. The number of unemployed individuals rose slightly to 368,000 in January from 361,000 in December.
The unemployment rate amongst youngsters, applicable to the 15-25 age group, saw a minor uptick to 8.2 percent in January, compared to 8.1 percent in the previous month.
