Elbit Systems Ltd., a military technology firm based in Israel, recently reported that they received a contract worth roughly $600 million. This agreement, awarded by Hanwha Defense Australia, involves providing support for the Australian Land 400 Phase 3 Project over a five-year period.
The primary objective of the Australian Land 400 Phase 3 Project is to enhance the Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV) of the Australian Army. It plans to do so by delivering an improved suite of protective measures, fighting capacities, and sensor systems.
Elbit Systems, in association with Hanwha Defense Australia, was shortlisted by the Australian Government as the favored bidder for this project in August of the previous year.
Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, the President and CEO of Elbit Systems, expressed his thoughts on this significant achievement. He stated, "This milestone reinforces our dedication to supplying mission-essential solutions to the Australian Army. Elbit Systems remains committed to supplying advanced defense technologies that can ensure the safety of personnel on the contemporary battlefield."
