Norwegian telecommunications firm, Telenor ASA, has announced a partnership with tech giant, Nvidia Corp., aimed at implementing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies throughout the Nordic region. This initiative is intended to revolutionize Telenor's internal procedures, communication networks, as well as initiate new AI ventures and connections with startups, corporate enterprises, and governmental bodies.
Within the first year of this partnership, Telenor aims to invest roughly NOK 100 million into Nvidia's infrastructure. This investment will boost AI applications for both its internal use and external business clientele needs. This projected investment solidifies Telenor's goal to become a leader within the AI landscape as a technology-oriented telecommunications company.
Through this collaboration, Telenor will have access to the most recent Nvidia hardware and AI business software. This access is projected to bolster Telenor's AI ambitions and allow various AI applications to be used throughout Telenor's operations.
An AI center, set to be constructed in Norway, will utilize Telenor's next-generation data centers and Nvidia AI platforms to develop highly effective solutions.
