Royal Philips (PHG) has recently announced the release of a new CT 5300 system. This system, which is equipped with AI capabilities, has been designed for a range of uses, including diagnosis, interventional procedures, and screening. A noteworthy feature of this new system is the Nanopanel Precise, an innovative detector that has been specially constructed to facilitate AI-based reconstructions. Philips states that this CT 5300 system provides more accurate and reliable imaging results.
Frans Venker, the Business Leader of CT at Philips, spoke about the development of the new system. He mentioned that Philips took into account the daily struggles of radiologists and their expectations from a next-generation CT system. To meet these needs, they combined the most recent imaging and AI technologies to create a system that offers an increased level of diagnostic confidence.
