The primary economic news of interest on Monday focuses on investor confidence in the euro area, on what would otherwise be a mellow day for European financial news.
In the early hours of the morning, at 2.30 am ET, the Federal Statistical Office is set to release Swiss inflation figures for February. The anticipation is for a slight decrease in inflation to 1.1 percent, compared to the 1.3 percent reported in January. Following this at 3.00 am ET, Spain will announce its unemployment statistics. Previously, in January, the total number of unemployed amounted to 60,400.
Further into the morning at 4.30 am ET, the behavioural research organization, Sentix, is planning to publish the results of their euro area investor confidence survey. Predictions hint at a likely improvement in the index for March, reaching -10.8 from the -12.9 recorded in February.
