These two enterprises plan to build scalable solid oxide electrolyzer systems, aimed at creating hydrogen that could possibly be useful in Shell's operations.
Bloom's SOEC technology supports the production of clean hydrogen on an extensive scale, providing a sustainable alternative to the traditional 'grey' hydrogen. This grey hydrogen is usually procured from high carbon dioxide-emitting procedures like steam-methane reforming in refineries.
