KBR, Inc. (KBR) has announced that it has secured a project management contract from Sonangol for the design and execution of a new refinery in Lobito, Angola, with a processing capacity of 200,000 barrels per day. KBR's services will include overseeing the project management aspects of engineering, procurement, and construction phase execution.
Moreover, according to the company, the completion of the Lobito Refinery Project is forecasted to triple Angola's capacity for fuel product production, representing a 200% increase. The project will also notably boost job creation within the country.
