CACI Int'l Gets $239 Mln Task Order For U.S. Army Unified Network Modernization

CACI International Inc on Thursday announced that it has secured a technological task order worth around $239 million. The contract, which contains a one-year base period with an additional four one-year options, is targeted at modernizing the US Army's Global Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) Network.

Inclusions in the order extend to the employment of commercial solutions for classified technology. The aim is to diversify options for secure user access and boost mobile flexibility.

John Mengucci, CACI President, and CEO emphasizes that the Army's classified network modernization is a foundational step towards a protected, unified system. According to Mengucci, CACI's modernization solutions will upgrade the capacity, efficiency, and security of the Army's network infrastructure. The unique combination of wired and wireless technologies that CACI offers will help the Army keep up with the escalating demand for data analytics and allow users to access classified networks from any location. Additionally, Mengucci believes that CACI's recipe for success lies in their tried-and-tested network modernization strategy, innovative approach to CSfC solutions, and global existence.
