European Economic News Preview: Germany Consumer Confidence Data Due

The primary focus on Tuesday is the report on consumer sentiment survey data from Germany, signifying a less intensive day for European economic news.

The GfK market research group is set to announce Germany's consumer confidence survey results at 3.00 am ET. Economic experts predict an improvement in the sentiment index to -27.9 in April, up from -29 in March.

Meanwhile, producer price data is expected from Sweden.

Spain's INE is scheduled to release final GDP data at 4.00 am ET. The preliminary estimate showed an expansion of the economy by 0.6 percent in the fourth quarter, following a 0.4 percent growth in the third quarter.

Lastly, at 8.00 am ET, the central bank of Hungary is expected to announce its interest rate decision. The bank is generally expected to decrease its principal rate from 9.00 percent to 8.25 percent.
