Getty Images has announced its acquisition of Motorsport Images, incorporating its operational wing, LAT Images, as well as its extensive archives which include Sutton, Schlegelmilch, Colombo and Dukes Video. Starting from May 3rd, 2024, the content from Motorsport Images will begin appearing online at gettyimages.com. Boasting an archive brimming with over 29 million images and more than 8,900 hours of premium video footage, Motorsport Images is set to enhance Getty Images' collection significantly.
CEO of Getty Images, Craig Peters, expressed his enthusiasm for the merger, stating that the Motorsport Images team aligns with their dedication to capturing and presenting the most exhilarating moments from motorsports. He believes their remarkable collection of iconic imagery and videos will significantly broaden their premium motorsport offerings for Getty Images' global clientele.
