Cloud Software Group, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation have announced an eight-year strategic partnership to bolster the marketing efforts of the Citrix virtual application and desktop platform. Additionally, this collaboration will support the development of innovative cloud and AI solutions through an integrated product roadmap.
To further demonstrate its commitment to this partnership, Cloud Software Group is investing $1.65 billion in Microsoft's cloud and AI capabilities. The relationship between the two companies, including Citrix - a subdivision of Cloud Software Group, is one of the strongest in the industry and this partnership further validates this.
As part of the agreement, Citrix will be the preferred Microsoft Global Azure Partner solution for Enterprise Desktop as a Service when jointly servicing Azure customers. The companies will work together to support customer success, provide tailored solutions, expert guidance, and facilitate the customers' transition to the cloud.
Citrix will maximize the use of Microsoft Azure as its go-to cloud solution, thereby offering its customers the extensive benefits of the Citrix platform, amplified by Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365.
Moreover, the partnership will facilitate more efficient procurement options via the Azure Marketplace. This will enable customers to assess, expand, or renew Citrix solutions with ease.
The partnership is also poised to usher in productivity and innovative developments in AI. In an aim to boost collaboration and productivity, Cloud Software Group will shift all its employees to Microsoft 365. This transition will arm their teams with top-tier productivity and AI tools, sparking a new wave of joint marketing activities.
