Dutch Inflation Confirmed At 2.7%

The Central Bureau of Statistics has reported a decline in Dutch inflation, reaching the lowest levels in four months, confirming initial estimates. The consumer price index showed a yearly increase of 2.7% in April, a decrease from the 3.1% increment in March. The decrease aligns with the preliminary data released on April 30th.

The decline in inflation rates during April can mainly be attributed to the price fluctuations in bungalow park stays, says the agency. The growth rate of housing and utility costs also slowed down to a 1.6% annual increase in April, compared to the previous month's 1.9% increment.

Inflation, as measured by the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), also lessened to 2.6% from March's 3.1%. This confirms the initial estimated calculations.
