Australia Unemployment Data Due On Thursday

Australia is set to release its unemployment figures for May on Thursday, marking a relatively quiet day for economic activity in the Asia-Pacific region. Economists anticipate the jobless rate will decrease slightly to 4.0 percent, down from 4.1 percent in April, bolstered by an estimated addition of 30,500 jobs, following the previous month's increase of 38,500 jobs.

In New Zealand, May's data for electronic retail card sales is scheduled for release. In April, these sales saw a decline of 0.4 percent month-on-month and 3.8 percent year-on-year.

Additionally, the Bank of Taiwan will conclude its monetary policy meeting and announce its decision on interest rates. It is widely expected that the central bank will maintain the benchmark lending rate at a steady 2.00 percent.
