FTSE 100 Little Changed As Investors Await Inflation Data, BoE Meeting

On Monday, U.K. stocks saw minimal movement following a report from property market website Rightmove, which indicated that asking prices for new British homes entering the market remained stable this month.

Additionally, the Q2 Manufacturing Outlook Survey by Make UK revealed an increase in output and orders among U.K. manufacturers in the second quarter, ahead of the upcoming election.

Investors are now anticipating crucial U.K. inflation data and an upcoming policy announcement from the Bank of England later this week for further market direction.

The benchmark FTSE 100 index dipped slightly to 8,145, following a 0.2 percent decline on Friday.

In corporate developments, shares of Ascential rose by 2 percent after the company, known for its exhibitions, festivals, and information services, confirmed that its full-year trading is on track with expectations.

Additionally, home improvement retailer Kingfisher saw a modest increase in its share price after announcing the appointment of Bhavesh Mistry as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mistry is currently the CFO at British Land Company Plc, a real estate investment trust.
