Essent Group (ESNT) has released its second-quarter financial results, reporting a net income of $203.6 million, or $1.91 per share. This marks an increase from the previous year's second-quarter figures of $172.2 million, or $1.61 per share. This performance surpasses the expectations of 11 analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters, who had predicted earnings of $1.68 per share for the quarter, excluding special items.
Total revenues for the quarter rose to $312.94 million, up from $260.13 million in the same period last year. This also exceeded the analysts' average estimate of $308.34 million.
Additionally, Essent Group’s Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.28 per common share, which will be payable on September 10, 2024, to shareholders recorded as of August 30, 2024.
