Guess?, Inc. (NYSE: GES) has announced the appointment of Dennis Secor as Interim Chief Financial Officer, effective August 26, 2024. Secor is an accomplished finance leader with extensive experience in the apparel industry, having previously served as Guess?'s CFO from 2006 to 2012.
Secor will be taking over from Markus Neubrand, who is departing to pursue an opportunity that will allow him to be closer to his family.
Guess? has begun the search for a permanent CFO, who is anticipated to be stationed at the company's headquarters in Lugano, Switzerland. This initiative is being conducted with the support of an executive search firm. Neubrand will continue with Guess? until September 30, 2024, to ensure a smooth handover.
Currently, Secor holds the position of Executive Vice President of Finance at Guess?. His career spans multiple industries, having held CFO roles at both publicly-listed and privately-held companies such as Fossil Group, Electronic Arts Canada, Torrid, and Guess?.
During his tenure as Guess?'s CFO from 2006 to 2012, Secor oversaw all global finance and accounting operations. He executed several growth and profitability strategies, maintained a robust capital structure, supported the company's international expansion, and built a strong global finance team. He also briefly served as Interim CFO at Guess? from April 2022 to July 2023.
