The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) announced on Friday that it has acquired approximately 4.9 percent pro-forma ownership in KeyCorp Ltd., a non-banking financial company, at a share price of $17.17, totaling roughly $0.8 billion.
The Toronto-based firm further noted that an additional investment, constituting about 10 percent, is anticipated to be finalized in the fiscal year 2025.
Presently, Scotiabank's stock is trading at $49.71, marking a 1 percent increase on the New York Stock Exchange.
