Centrus Signs Supply Commitment With KHNP For New Uranium Enrichment Site

Centrus Energy Corp. (LEU), a prominent supplier of nuclear fuel, announced on Wednesday that it has reached an agreement with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) for a conditional supply commitment. This partnership supports the development of new uranium enrichment capacity at Centrus' American Centrifuge Plant located in Piketon, Ohio.

The agreement with KHNP encompasses a decade-long delivery schedule of Low-Enriched Uranium (LEU) to contribute to the fueling of Korea's extensive reactor fleet.

With this deal, Centrus has now secured a cumulative total of $1.8 billion in contingent sales commitments, which include engagements with KHNP and other clients, to facilitate the rollout of the new enrichment capacity.

Amir Vexler, CEO of Centrus, stated, "This supply commitment is a fundamental component as we strive toward the public-private partnership necessary to re-establish a substantial, U.S.-owned uranium enrichment capability."
