New Zealand Retail Card Sales Data Due On Thursday

On Thursday, New Zealand is set to release the August data for electronic card retail sales, spotlighting a relatively light day for economic activities in the Asia-Pacific region. In the previous month, July, card sales experienced a slight decline of 0.1 percent month-on-month and 4.9 percent year-on-year.

Japan is expected to disclose the August figures for producer prices, with forecasts pointing to a stable monthly reading and an annual increase of 2.8 percent. This marks a decrease from July's figures, which showed a 0.3 percent monthly rise and a 3.0 percent annual increase.

Hong Kong is scheduled to report its Q2 statistics for industrial production and producer prices. In the preceding three months, industrial production grew by 1.8 percent year-on-year, while producer prices increased by 1.2 percent year-on-year.

Thailand will unveil its August consumer confidence index results. In July, the index registered a score of 57.7.
